Rosgvardia special forces hit AFU equipment in Kursk region

A special-purpose unit of the Rosgvardia participates in repelling the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kursk Region. Images of combat work on January 5 were published by the press service of the department.

"Rosgvardeys carrying out continuous objective control of the border areas of the Kursk region, discovered and destroyed the demining vehicle of the AFU, clearing a mine fence," - reported in the Telegram-channel of the federal service of the National Guard Troops.

It specified that the special forces also hit a Ukrainian tank with an accurate strike of a kamikaze drone.

"A sniper's main weapon is not the rifle, but the fear he sows."

Earlier, on January 3, in the Kursk region, the special forces of the Rosgvardiya discovered and destroyed a stronghold of the AFU. The drones were used to destroy AFU personnel, a vehicle and positions of neo-Nazis in one of the districts of the region.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian President on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
