Novovoronezh NPP operates normally amid reports of attempted UAV attacks


The Novovoronezh nuclear power plant (NPP) is operating in normal mode amid reports of attempted attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was reported in the press service of the plant on January 5.
"At present, Novovoronezh NPP is operating in normal mode. All power units of the NPP, which carry a load of 3753 MW in accordance with the dispatch schedule, are in operation," - said in a message published in the Telegram-channel.
It was specified that there are no violations of limits and conditions of safe operation of power units.
In addition, the radiation background of the plant is normal and corresponds to natural natural values.
Earlier in the day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the training center of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) with a drone. It was specified that as a result of the attack no one was injured, also the attack did not cause damage.
Before that, on January 1, Novovoronezh NPP power unit No. 7 was shut down for repair work. Already on January 4, the power unit was brought to 100% capacity after a short-term repair.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
