Russian Armed Forces destroyed a Ukrainian vehicle by FPV drone in Velyka Novoselka DNR

The Russian Armed Forces (AF) have destroyed a Ukrainian army vehicle in the village of Velyka Novoselka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) by an FPV drone strike. The footage was published by Izvestia on January 5.

A vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), despite the dense construction, came into the field of vision of the Russian military and was destroyed by a drone strike. The footage shows that the car caught fire after the arrival.

Earlier, on January 3, the military of the special purpose unit "Vega" of the group of troops "Center" captured an armored personnel carrier International MaxxPro and armored vehicle "Kozak" of the AFU in the Krasnoarmeysk direction. The camouflaged vehicles were detected with the help of drones and surveillance of Ukrainian fighters' movements. After the FPV drone calculation hit the combat guard, the coordinates of the location were transmitted to the advance team.

On December 30 last year, British military analyst Alexander Mercouris predicted the imminent loss of Velyka Novoselka in the DNR to the AFU. According to his forecast, this should happen in early January.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian president on February 24, 2022, is still ongoing. The decision was made against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
