Russian Navy to receive about 30 ships and submarines in 2024

The Russian Navy will receive 30 new ships and submarines in 2024. This was announced by Navy chief Admiral Alexander Moiseyev on January 5.
"In 2024, the Navy was replenished with about 30 ships of various classes and support vessels, including the diesel-electric submarine Kronstadt and the small missile ship Amur," TASS quoted him as saying.
As Moiseyev specified, the process of equipping the Navy with new weapons and ships will continue in 2025.
Last December, Acting Director General of Admiralty Shipyards Andrey Bystrov said that the first patrol icebreaker Ivan Papanin is planned to be handed over to the Russian Navy by August 2025.
