On January 5, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov fulfilled the dream of 14-year-old Vladimir from Odintsovo, Moscow Region, to see a live panda as part of the charity event "Christmas Tree of Wishes".

The Minister organized for the child a personal excursion to the Moscow Zoo. The zoo's general director Svetlana Akulova met the guests and showed them the animals. She also told them that pets often take offense at people because everyone wants to pet and touch them.

Speaking about food for the pandas, she added that bamboo is brought for them every Friday from China and Holland.

Last December, Maxim Reshetnikov took three postcards off the Christmas tree as part of the campaign. In addition to Vladimir's wish, he will also fulfill the dreams of 13-year-old Valeria from Moscow for a tennis table and Maxim from Zelenograd for a snowboard.

At the same time, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin visited the Soyuzmultfilm studio together with children who participated in the "Christmas Tree of Wishes" campaign.

The "Wishing Tree" charity event is a project of the Russian "Movement of the Firsts" with the support of Rosmolodezh, which has been taking place since 2018 and lasts from mid-November to the end of February. Thanks to the campaign, children aged 3-17 who find themselves in a difficult life situation get an opportunity to fulfill a cherished wish or receive a gift for the New Year. In 2023, the Wishing Tree started on November 15 and runs until February 28, 2024.
