The governor of Rostov region reported the destruction of 37 AFU drones

Air defense forces have destroyed 37 Ukrainian drones in Rostov Region overnight. This was reported by the acting head of the region Yuri Slyusar on January 5.

"This night in the Rostov region repelled a massive air attack of the enemy. Starting from midnight, air defense forces and means destroyed 37 UAVs, including in Taganrog, Millerovsky, Tarasovsky and Belokalitvinsky districts," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

Slyusar specified that no one was injured as a result of the attack.

Earlier in the day, Slyusar reported the destruction of AFU UAVs in Millerovsky and Tarasovsky districts of Rostov region. He specified that no one was injured in the attack.

Later, Slyusar reported that residential houses and cars were damaged by UAV debris in Taganrog and Novobessergenovka village. He specified that in total the emergency services received reports from residents of four households. There are no casualties or fires as a result of falling debris, the damage caused is being clarified.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
