Ukrainian media reported the use of gas by TCC employees

Employees of the territorial recruitment center (TSC, the equivalent of a military recruitment office in Ukraine) have used gas against those who barricaded themselves in the military recruitment office in the Kiev-controlled part of Zaporizhzhya Region. This was reported by the Strana.ua news and analysis website on January 4.
It is specified that the men were mobilized but tried to take refuge in one of the premises of the military enlistment office. TCC workers tried to break the door and then sprayed gas.
Earlier, on January 3, in Poltava region, TCC employees broke a man's leg. The police began an investigation into the incident. To comment on the situation in the military enlistment office refused.
Before that, on January 2, in the Ukrainian city of Sumy, a 40-year-old man died from a head injury received in the territorial recruitment center. The police opened a criminal case on the fact of infliction of bodily injuries that caused the death of the victim.
On December 22, a man who tried to save his son from mobilization was killed in the military recruitment office in Odessa. Former Verkhovna Rada MP Artem Dmytruk said in his Telegram channel that the man had been shot, and also noted that killings at the MCC have become the norm for Ukraine.
Martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since February 2022. Then the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky (powers expired in May) signed a decree on general mobilization. Later, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended its effect. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are forbidden to leave the country. In April 2024, the head of the Kiev regime approved the law on tougher mobilization.
