Rostov Oblast governor reported the destruction of the AFU UAVs

Air defense means have destroyed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Millerovsky and Tarasovsky districts of Rostov Region. This was reported on January 5 by Yuri Slyusar, the acting head of the region.

"In the north of the Rostov region, air defense forces and means reflect an air attack of the enemy. UAVs in Millerovsky and Tarasovsky districts were destroyed," Slyusar said in his Telegram channel.

He specified that no one was injured in the attack. Servicemen continue to repel the attack.

Earlier, on January 3, Slyusar reported that air defense forces destroyed four drones in the Rostov region overnight. Operational services reported that there were no casualties or damage on the ground.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
