Two apartment buildings were damaged as a result of an attack by two Ukrainian drones on the village of Malinovka in Belgorod Region. This was reported by the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov on January 4.

"Malinovka settlement of Belgorod district was attacked by two enemy drones. <...> Windows in seven apartments of two apartment buildings have been broken out. There is also localized damage to the gas pipeline," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Gladkov noted that, tentatively, there were no casualties. Information on the consequences of the Ukrainian attack is being clarified. Employees of operational services will continue house-to-house rounds during daylight hours.

Earlier in the day it became known that in the village of Prelestnoye Belgorod region man suffered as a result of an attack of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU). The victim with a shrapnel wound to the leg was treated by the ambulance brigade on the spot. Gladkov specified that the windows of one of the households in this village were defaced and a car was damaged.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
