Two teenagers who planned a terrorist attack in Yekaterinburg have been indicted


The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation has indicted two teenagers for preparing a terrorist attack in Yekaterinburg and carrying explosives. This was reported in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on January 4.
"According to the investigation, the two defendants purchased components for the manufacture of a homemade explosive, and then independently made an improvised explosive device and an electric detonator, which one of the accomplices carried in his backpack until the moment of detention," - noted in the Telegram-channel of the Department.
It is also noted that one of the accused was involved in the arson of a police car on December 22, 2024 on Chapaeva Street.
The IC intends to apply to the court with a petition for the detention of teenagers.
Now the investigation is taking measures to establish the involvement of minors in the crimes.
Earlier in the day, the FSB reported the detention of teenagers planning a terrorist attack in Yekaterinburg. It was reported that they shared the ideas of a terrorist organization banned in the country. A criminal case was opened on preparation for terrorism by a group of persons, as well as on illegal manufacture and storage of explosive devices (part 1 of article 30, part 3 of article 222.1, part 2 of article 223.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
