- The governor of Voronezh region told about the evacuation of residents after the AFU drone attack
Residents of the city's left-bank district have been evacuated after the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) drone attack on Voronezh. This was reported by regional governor Alexander Gusev on January 4.
He specified that operational services continue to work at the sites of drone drops on the territory of the Left-bank district of Voronezh. Special measures are being carried out.
"From one house emergency services have already evacuated about 100 people who were in the building. Many residents have gone to their relatives, buses have been prepared for the rest, and TACs (temporary accommodation points. - Ed.) have been organized in a nearby school. Another house, where UAV debris was found, is being evacuated," Gusev wrote in his Telegram channel.
He also urged people to remain calm and follow the instructions of specialists.
At the moment, the issue of liquidation of the remains of the drones is being resolved. The area is cordoned off.
On the eve Gusev reported that in the Voronezh region in the fall of downed drones of the AFU were damaged the buildings of two enterprises. Then the governor noted that the on-duty air defense forces (Air Defense Forces) and electronic warfare (REB) detected and shot down several drones. There were no casualties. At night on the same day, another UAV was destroyed over the regions.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
