The Defense Ministry reported an attempt by the AFU to strike Belgorod Region with ATACMS missiles

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on 3 January attempted to strike Belgorod Region with US ATACMS operational-tactical missiles. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 4.

"On January 3, 2025, an attempt was made from the territory of Ukraine to launch a missile strike on Belgorod region <...> with American-made ATACMS missiles," the defense ministry said in a statement.

The Defense Ministry also said that such actions of the Kiev regime, which is supported by the West, will be retaliated against.

The shelling of Kazan, Rylsk and Orel oblast showed the fear of the Ukrainian regime caused by the situation in the NWO zone

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported eight downed ATACMS missiles and 72 AFU drones in a day. Later it was specified that all missiles were shot down by S-400 and Pantsir-SM air defense systems.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was made due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
