On January 4, the FSB published footage of the interrogation of teenagers detained for preparing a terrorist attack in Yekaterinburg.
One of them stated that in August 2024 he subscribed to neo-Nazi Telegram channels, after which he saw calls to commit acts against the police. Working as a courier, he saw a parked car of law enforcers and decided to set it on fire, all this he filmed on video.
After that, the teenager had an idea to make his own explosives. He asked his friend to help in this, who was not told about the purpose of this activity. After that, the young men were detained.
They are also charged.
"According to the investigation, the two defendants purchased components for the manufacture of an improvised explosive substance, and then independently made an improvised explosive device and an electric detonator, which one of the accomplices carried in his backpack until the moment of detention", - stated in the message of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Telegram-channel.
Earlier in the day, FSB officers detained four teenagers who were planning a terrorist attack in Yekaterinburg. It was reported that they shared the ideas of a terrorist organization banned in the country. It was also found that two of the detainees were involved in the arson of the service car of the main regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. A criminal case was opened on preparation for terrorism by a group of persons, as well as on illegal manufacture and storage of explosive devices (part 1 of article 30, part 3 of article 222.1, part 2 of article 223.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
