FSB detains four teenagers who were preparing a terrorist attack in Yekaterinburg

The Federal Security Service of Russia detained four Russian citizens born in 2007 and 2008, who were planning to carry out a terrorist attack in Yekaterinburg. This was reported in the press service of the agency on January 4.

It is reported that they share the ideas of the terrorist organization banned in the country.

It was found that two of the detainees were involved in the arson of the official car of the main regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

They were seized an improvised explosive device and means of communication, which contained instructions for its manufacture.

The Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region initiated a criminal case under part 1 of article 30 of the Criminal Code ("Preparation for a crime"), part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code ("Terrorist act"), part 3 of article 222.1 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal possession of explosives or explosive devices"), part 2 of article 223.1 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal manufacture of explosives or explosive devices").

On January 3 in Zaporizhzhya region FSB suppressed an attempt of an agent of special services of Ukraine to carry out a terrorist act. The citizen of Ukraine was wanted for serious crimes, including attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. During the search of the house, he attempted to resist with firearms. He was eliminated by return fire.
