Sevastopol reported the advance of fuel oil northward along the Crimean coastline


The movement of fuel oil after the wreck of tankers Volgoneft-212 and Volgoneft-239 in the Black Sea is fixed to the north along the Crimean coast. This was reported by the governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev on January 4.
"All this is not yet of the nature of mass pollution, but, nevertheless, traces of fuel oil are visible, remain on the rocks. Of course, it will be necessary to eliminate them," he wrote in Telegram-channel.
The governor noted that on January 4, the operational headquarters will organize a "breakdown of the territory" to clean up traces of oil products. Then the authorities will purchase the necessary protective equipment for this purpose, such as rubber gloves and suits, Razvozhayev specified.
"And we will then already involve volunteer groups, we will promptly remove from the coast what will be taken out," he pointed out.
The day before Razvozhayev said that in Sevastopol at the entrance to the Balaklava Bay found an oil stain after the crash of tankers in the Black Sea.
Earlier, on January 2, the press service of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation reported that 2.4 thousand tons of oil products fell into the Black Sea after the crash of the tankers.
Tankers Volgoneft-212 andVolgoneft-239crashed in the Kerch Strait on December 15 due to bad weather. As a result of the incident there was a spill of oil products. 27 people were evacuated from both vessels. It was specified that one person died. On the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a working group has been set up to coordinate work to eliminate the consequences of the accident.
