Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo was staying at the five-star Capella Hanoi hotel in the Vietnamese capital after a visit to Moscow and a long absence from the press. This was reported on January 4 by the newspaper Dennik N.

After negotiations in Russia on December 22, 2024 with the country's President Vladimir Putin on the termination of gas transit in Ukraine from 2025, Fitzo appeared only in videos on social networks, and his location was not known.

Information about the prime minister's whereabouts became known thanks to his latest publication, where notable details of the hotel interior were seen. The number was recognized by one of the newspaper's readers.
