American businessman Ilon Musk was impressed by the fight between Andrei Grigoryev, a Yakutian assault rifleman of the 39th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces' Vostok Group, and a Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) soldier, during which Grigoryev used a Yakutian knife.

In social networks spread footage taken from the helmet camera of the AFU military man who participated in the counterattack of the village of Trudovoye in the Zaporozhye region. The one first controls the entrance to the courtyard, and then moves aside before the Ukrainian FPV drone strikes the suspected position of the Russian fighter. The fighter then returns and starts a firefight in the courtyard, which ends in a hand-to-hand fight that is fatal for him. During it, the Russian fighter fought with a knife.

"Just in case, I have a trench knife from the First World War embedded in my bedroom wall. A 1917 issue. More useful than a gun in close combat," Musk wrote on his social network X (former Twitter) page.

"Our fighters have their own home behind them, literally."

Earlier in the day, the press service of the all-Russian public movement "People's Front" (ONF) reported that Yakut fighter Andrei Grigoriev defeated an AFU fighter in hand-to-hand combat. Grigoryev and his friend were tasked with planting a Russian flag in Trudovoye, at which point an FPV drone hit him. After that, he went into a shed and hid from the second drone behind waste paper lying there. The Ukrainian military tried to induce the fighter to surrender, but Grigoryev entered the fray using his Yakut knife. The stormtrooper eventually managed to overpower the enemy, who after the fight asked to be allowed to "leave quietly."

The special operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
