A new criminal case on the rehabilitation of Nazism has been opened against historian and blogger Tamara Eydelman (included in the register of foreign agents). This was reported by law enforcement agencies on January 4.

She is accused of committing a crime under para. "c" part 2 of article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Rehabilitation of Nazism with the use of the Internet"), the source told RIA Novosti.

At the same time, at the end of June last year, the Moscow prosecutor's office opened a case against Eidelman under Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Rehabilitation of Nazism, committed by a group of persons, by prior conspiracy or with the use of the network"). The reason was Eidelman's video about Victory Day, in which she allowed herself insulting statements.

On December 27 last year, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined the historian 45 thousand rubles for violating the activities of a foreign agent (paragraph 4 of Article 19.34 of the CAO RF).

Before that, on December 26, Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow imposed a fine of Br50 thousand on Eidelman for discrediting the Russian army under Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the CAO RF.

The Ministry of Justice added the blogger to the list of foreign agents on September 9, 2022.
