The Earth will come to the closest distance to the Sun on Saturday, January 4 and thanks to this, people will be able to see the largest solar disk in 2025. This was reported on the website of the Moscow Planetarium.
"January 4 - the Earth in perihelion, at the closest distance from the Sun, this will allow us to observe the largest disk of the Sun in 2025", - stated in the message.
It is also specified that on January 16 there will be a phenomenon called the opposition of Mars. On this day, people will be able to see the planet at the most favorable distance.
Earlier, January 3, it was reported that on the Sun occurred the first powerful class X flare since the beginning of the year. Solar flares, depending on the power of X-ray radiation are divided into five classes: A, B, C, M and maximum X.
