A magnitude 5.8 earthquake has struck Ethiopia

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 has occurred in Ethiopia. This was reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center(EMSC) on January 4.

Seismic activity was recorded 57 km from the town of Abomsa. Focal point of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km. There is no information about casualties and destruction.

Earlier on the same day an earthquake occurred in Turkish Antalya. It is specified that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 7 km off the coast of the district of Alanya. Its epicenter was also recorded there.
