The Msta-B howitzer has hit an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control point and a mortar position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Konstantinovskyy direction of the special military operation (SMO). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 4.
"The main targets are enemy dugouts, field stores of weapons and ammunition, mobile vehicles, well, respectively, counter-battery combat, as well as camouflaged guns and mortars," - said the senior gunner of the gun with the call sign Strizh.
It is specified that the calculation received the exact coordinates of the location of enemy points from scouts, after which with the help of UAVs, which corrected the fire, the artillerymen made several accurate strikes.
Msta-B calculations during combat missions use fragmentation-fugitive shells as well as high-precision ammunition to inflict more damage to the enemy at maximum distance.
