Doctors have assessed the condition of children injured in an explosion in Lysychansk, Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), as stably serious. This was reported by the Minister of Health of the Republic Natalia Pashchenko on January 3.
"All children are under the supervision of medics. Conducted therapy allows us to hope for positive dynamics. Children are all conscious, breathing independently, getting out of bed. Telemedicine consultations with specialists from federal clinics have been held", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel of the government of the LNR.
It is specified that three children are in intensive care, their condition is assessed as stably serious. Two more children are being treated in the trauma department of the children's republican hospital, two more teenagers - in surgery and in ophthalmology.
Earlier, on December 30, the head of the LNR Leonid Pasechnik said that seven teenagers were injured in the explosion of an unidentified device. He emphasized that he keeps the situation under personal control and receives reports on the condition of the injured. Details of the incident are being clarified.
Ukrainian militants are shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
