The malfunction in the computer systems of the German Federal Police has been eliminated, and service at the country's airports is back to normal. This was reported on January 3 by the publication Stern.

It is noted that the failure led to massive delays in border control at several German airports, among them: the airport of Dusseldorf, Cologne / Bonn, as well as Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt.
At Germany's largest airport in Frankfurt, a police spokesman said the reasons for the situation were still being investigated.
According to Izvestia correspondent Margarita Kostiv, who is on the ground, the reasons for the disruption remain unknown. Passengers from non-Schengen countries stand in hours-long queues, some airports canceled flights.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the computer system of the German Federal Police failed en masse at airports across the country. It was about the system, which is used to control entry. It was also specified that it was temporarily impossible to enter Germany from the non-Schengen zone.
