Russian actors Yura Borisov and Mark Eidelstein have been nominated for the main British film award BAFTA for the movie "Anora". This is reported on January 3 on the website of the Academy.

The movie "Anora" by American director Sean Baker, starring Borisov and Eidelstein, received nine nominations, including in the categories of "Best Film", "Best Director" and "Best Screenplay".

The award itself will be presented on February 16.

Last December, it was reported that Borisov was a Golden Globe Award nominee in the Best Supporting Actor category for "Anora."

"Anora" also received nominations in the categories of Best Film (Musical/Comedy) and Best Screenplay in a Motion Picture. Sean Baker was nominated in the Best Director category. The film also won the Palme d'Or at the 77th Cannes Film Festival last May. The 82nd Golden Globe Awards ceremony will be held on January 5, 2025 in Los Angeles.

The BAFTA is an award of The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (Ed.), honoring excellence in film, television and computer games. Laureates receive a golden mask as a prize. The award was first presented in 1948 in London.
