The administration of current U.S. President Joe Biden plans to completely restrict the import of drones from China. This was reported by Bloomberg news agency on January 3.

"Securing the unmanned aircraft systems technology supply chain is critical to ensuring our national security," the publication quotes Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo as saying.

The U.S. Department of Commerce plans to get information about the consequences of a possible ban.

In addition, the material indicates that at the approval of this measure in power will already be the elected President of the United States Donald Trump.

Earlier, on January 2, China imposed a ban on exports of dual-use products for 28 American defense companies. The purpose of the restrictions is to maintain national security and "fulfill international obligations".
