Rosgvardiya showed footage of the detention of a suspect in the murder of a businessman in Chuvashia

Video of the detention of a man suspected of murdering a businessman in the Chuvash town of Kanash, the press service of the Rosgvardiya showed on January 3.

"Employees of the OMON and SOBR of the Rosgvardiya department in the Chuvash Republic - Chuvashia detained a local resident suspected of murdering the owner of one of the stores in the town of Kanash", - reported in the Telegram-channel of the department.

It specified that the attacker wore a Santa Claus costume to commit the crime.

The suspect was handed over to police officers, added in the press service of the Rosgvardiya.

Earlier in the day it was reported that in Kanash, Chuvash Republic, a man dressed in a Santa Claus costume shot the owner of the store "Berezka" with a double-barreled shotgun and then fled. According to the source of "Izvestiya", the attacker came to the store with a gun in a suit and white valenki, his face was not visible because of the superimposed beard and glasses. From the wounds received, the victim died on the spot.

In the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region reported about the detention of the suspect. It was specified that a criminal case under part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder") was initiated.
