A resident of the Bryansk region was killed in an AFU mortar attack


A resident of the village of Kirillovka in Bryansk Region has been killed as a result of mortar shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz on January 3.
"Ukrainian terrorists committed mortar shelling of the village of Kirillovka in Klimovsky district. Unfortunately, as a result of the terrorist attack a civilian was killed. I express deep condolences to the relatives of the deceased," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
The governor of Bryansk region promised to provide the family of the deceased with the necessary material assistance.
Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported that the air defense forces (Air Defense Forces) destroyed 22 unmanned aer ial vehicles (U AVs) of the AFU over Russian regions during the night. Over the Bryansk region, 10 Ukrainian drones were shot down.
On December 22 last year, a woman was killed as a result of shelling of Kirillovka in the Bryansk region. Then the AFU also attacked the village of Krasny Bor, where one person was injured.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike at Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
