Ka-52M helicopter crews disrupted the rotation of AFU units in Kursk region

The crews of Ka-52M helicopters of the Army Aviation, being part of a mixed tactical group, disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) units in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 3.
Performing a combat mission to support the Ground Forces, the pilots carried out missile launches according to the coordinates provided by the aviation spotter and destroyed armored vehicles and personnel of the AFU.
"After the strike, the crews performed anti-missile maneuvering at extremely low altitude with the firing of heat traps preventing enemy MANPADS missiles from hitting. The aviation gunner confirmed the destruction of the target," the ministry said.
Earlier on January 3, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the destruction of armored vehicles and manpower of the AFU by the grouping of troops "North" of the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation in Kharkiv region with the help of FPV-drones. As a result of a direct hit by the drones, the rotation of the enemy's personnel was disrupted.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
