Air defense forces destroyed six AFU drones over Belgorod and Voronezh regions

Air defense forces have destroyed three drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) over the territory of Belgorod Region and three over the territory of Voronezh Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 3.

"From 11:40 to 14:40 Moscow time, on-duty air defense means destroyed six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: three over the territory of Belgorod region and three - over the territory of Voronezh region", - stated in the message published in the Telegram-channel of the defense ministry.

Earlier in the day, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the AFU had attacked the region with about 60 munitions and 40 UAVs over the past 24 hours. The attacks hit settlements in Belgorod district - a man was wounded in the village of Yasniye Zori, Borisovsky and Krasnoyaruzsky districts, Valuysky, Graivoronsky and Shebekinsky municipal districts and Starooskolsky city district.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
