The date of farewell to former State Duma deputy Alksnis has become known


Farewell to former State Duma deputy Viktor Alksnis will be held on January 5.
According to RBC on January 3, citing the politician's family, the ceremony will be held in the funeral hall of the Central Clinical Hospital (CCH) "Russian Railways-Medicine" in Moscow, it will last from 10:00 to 11:00. It will be attended by the family and loved ones of the ex-deputy.
Viktor Alksnis died onJanuary 1 at the 75th year of life. According to the politician's daughter Irina, on the night of December 30, her father had a hemorrhagic stroke and fell into a deep coma.
Alksnis was a people's deputy of the USSR from 1989 to 1991. In the 1990s, some media outlets nicknamed him the "Black Colonel," accusing him of wanting to stage a military coup. The deputy opposed the collapse of the USSR.
From 2000 to 2007, Alksnis was a deputy of the State Duma, and from 2013 to 2015 he headed the Tuchkovo settlement in the Moscow region.
