Summary of special operations in Ukraine for the week

The special military operation to protect civilians in Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Defense Ministry said that during the week, the Russian Armed Forces (AF) carried out massive and 12 group strikes with precision weapons and attack drones, as a result of which energy facilities that supported the work of enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Ukraine, a factory for the production of gunpowder charges, the infrastructure of military airfields, ammunition depots, as well as fuel bases, assembly shops, storage sites for attack UAVs and uncrewed boats were hit. At the same time, points of temporary deployment of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries were eliminated.

Also, units of the "North" force group continued to destroy formations of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region. Thus, the manpower and equipment of seven mechanized, three airborne assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), a marine infantry brigade and four brigades of tera defense were hit.

The defense ministry recalled that between December 28, 2024 and January 3, 2025, units of the "Center" group of troops liberated Novotroitskoye and Novovolenovka in the DNR.

In addition, the forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed 11 uncrewed enemy boats.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 651 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 39,207 UAVs, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs), 20,208 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,505 multiple rocket launchers (MLRS), 1,003 field artillery and mortar guns, 29,832 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
