Expert warns of similarities between fraudulent sites and real ones

Sometimes fraudulent websites differ from the real ones by only one symbol. This was stated by Alexander Bleznekov, head of information security strategy development at IT integrator Telecom Exchange, on January 3.
"It is better to double-check the information in the letter by going to the website of the company on behalf of which it came. And if it's a promotion, the information about it will be both on the website and in the mobile application," Bleznekov told RIA Novosti.
In addition, the expert recommended not to open files attached to the letter, if there is no confidence in their safety, as well as in the sender.
Earlier, on December 21 last year, the leading analyst of the Digital Risk Protection department of F.A.S.S.T. company. Evgeny Egorov said that fraudsters began stealing Telegram accounts by sending false job offers on behalf of well-known companies. According to him, this scheme, as in most other cases, is aimed at stealing money.
