Rosgvardia special forces liquidated an AFU stronghold in the Kursk Region

In Kursk Region, a special unit of the Rosgvardia has found and destroyed a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported in the press service of the agency on January 3.

It is noted that in the course of combat work the soldiers of the special forces unit made a series of kamikaze drone strikes. The drones were used to destroy AFU personnel, a vehicle and positions of neo-Nazis in one of the districts of the region.

"Coordination of actions of operators of kamikaze drones was continuously carried out with the help of means of objective control," - indicated in the Telegram-channel of the Rosgvardiya.

"The battalion was born in the Kursk battles."

Earlier on January 3, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the calculations of D-30 howitzers of the artillery unit of the marine infantry of the group of troops "North" destroyed armored vehicles, fortified firing positions, artillery and mortar calculations of the AFU in the border area of the Kursk region.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian President on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
