Air defense forces destroyed 22 Ukrainian UAVs overnight over six Russian regions

The air defense forces destroyed 22 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) overnight. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 3.
"10 UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Bryansk region, four UAVs were shot down each over the territories of the Orel and Rostov regions, two - over the territory of the Belgorod region and one each over the territories of the Volgograd and Lipetsk regions," the ministry said in its Telegram channel.
Earlier on January 3, Oksana Semesenko, an official representative of the Russian Federal Security Service's directorate for the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), said that the Donbass Dome airspace protection and electronic warfare (EW) system had intercepted 72 Ukrainian UAVs over Donetsk and Makeyevka during the New Year holidays.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories amid the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
