The co-founder of Italian fashion house Missoni has died at the age of 93

One of the founders of the Italian fashion house Missoni Rosita Missoni died at the age of 93. This was reported by the newspaper La Repubblica on January 2.
"Together with her, a fundamental part of the history of Italian customs disappears," the publication noted.
Rosita and her husband Ottavio Missoni opened a knitting workshop in the basement of their house in the town of Gallarat in 1953. This year is considered the year of the foundation of the fashion house. The first collection under the Missoni brand was presented in Milan in 1958. The brand reached the peak of its influence in the fashion world in the 1970s, and in 1976 its first monobrand boutique was opened in Milan.
