Air defense forces destroyed seven Ukrainian UAVs over four Russian regions

Air defense forces have destroyed seven Ukrainian drones over four Russian regions. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 2.

"From 20:00 to 22:00 Moscow time on duty air defense means destroyed seven Ukrainian drones," - stated in a message in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that two drones were destroyed each over Belgorod, Bryansk and Orel regions, one - over Kursk region.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces destroyed 13 Ukrainian drones over five regions of the Russian Federation. It is specified that three drones were eliminated over the Belgorod region, four each over the Voronezh and Kursk regions and one each over the Voronezh and Kaluga regions.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
