Bus with Russians involved in a major accident in Thailand

In Thailand, a tourist bus carrying Russians suddenly lost control, overcorrected and crashed into the back of a passenger car. This was reported by Amarin TV channel on January 2.

"At the scene of the accident 27 Russian tourists were injured. Local authorities took the injured to the hospital in Pattaya," - stated in the material.

The rest were taken back to the place of accommodation.

As specified representatives of ANEX TOUR "Izvestia", the accident occurred when the bus was returning from a one-day excursion. According to the company, there were 39 tourists, a guide and a driver on the bus.

Ilya Ilyin, head of the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Thailand, noted that the consulate was aware of the accident and confirmed the information about the number of victims.

"We have no information about the dead at the moment," - reports the agency "RIA Novosti" words of the diplomat.

Earlier, November 9, a tourist bus overturned in Egypt, resulting in 41 casualties. It was noted that 31 of the injured passengers were Russians. In addition, three tourists from Kazakhstan and two from Azerbaijan, as well as a Ukrainian tourist and four residents of Egypt were injured.
