Court arrests property of deputy head of the Military Medical Academy

The Golovinsky court in Moscow has arrested the property of Pavel Veshkin, deputy head of the Kirov Military Medical Academy, who is accused of bribery. S.M. Kirov Pavel Veshkin, who is accused of bribery. This was reported by RIA Novosti on January 2 with reference to law enforcement agencies.

It is specified that the suspect tried to hide from the investigation of the property, which was subject to confiscation.

Among the arrested property were bank accounts of Veshkin's wife and apartments, which were registered on his mother-in-law. However, the defendant stated during the court hearing that the property had been acquired legally. In addition, he demanded not to impose interim measures on the apartments.

According to the investigation, Veshkin received money from the company "LLC SL Pharma". At the post he was in charge of the contract service.

Veshkin is charged under Part 6 of Article 290 ("Receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale"). The term of arrest is set until March 9, 2025. The suspect faces up to 15 years in prison.
