Irish journalist Chey Bose admired winter Moscow and dispelled a myth about Russia's problems. He published a corresponding video on January 1 on his page in the social network X (former Twitter).

"Winter in Russia is very beautiful. A lot of snow fell on New Year's Eve," he said in the video.

Bose also noted that the meaning of Russian President Vladimir Putin 's congratulatory speech in his address to Russians was very interesting: the head of state emphasized that the whole country is strong and united together, emphasized what has been done and what is going to be done.

The journalist said that EU dignitaries are deceiving people by accusing Russia that it is going to invade Europe or attack Poland. It is also a lie that Russia cannot win the Ukrainian conflict.

"This is propaganda. <...> This is a deception. <...> Russia has become more sovereign and less sensitive to the influence of external parties who want to destabilize the country," Bose said, citing as a possible reason for this attitude toward Russia its resources, which are nowhere else in such quantity.

To top it all off, he expressed hope that the newly elected U.S. president, Republican Donald Trump, will be able to help resolve the Ukrainian conflict and shared that 2025 will be a significant year in which change will occur.

"Everything they (Western representatives. - Ed.) say about this country (Russia. - Ed.) is a lie. They lie about Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Cambodia, Vietnam... That's what they do - they lie," Bose concluded.

Putin, in his annual New Year's address, congratulated Russians on New Year's Eve and outlined priorities for 2025, which he declared the country's Year of the Defender of the Fatherland. He also pointed out that Russians are descendants of the generation that destroyed Nazism and remains faithful to the covenants and traditions of veterans.

Speaking about the passing year, the President pointed out that the first quarter of the XXI century was filled with historically significant, large-scale events for Russia. Putin emphasized that the unity of the people was strengthened by overcoming trials together, which gives the country a solid foundation for development.
