Avalanche danger in the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia announced until January 6

Avalanche danger has been declared in the mountains of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic until January 6. This was reported in the press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations on January 2.

"In the period from 3 to 5 January in the mountains of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic above 2 thousand meters avalanche danger," - said in the Telegram-channel of the department.

It is specified that during this period there may be emergencies associated with damage to buildings, power lines, as well as "deaths of people in the areas of avalanches".

The Emergencies Ministry urged to observe safety rules in such areas.

Earlier in the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia announced avalanche danger in the period from December 28 to 30.

Before that, on December 26, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov said that natural phenomena will become more, which will lead to an increase in the number of emergencies.
