The Kiev regime is deporting people from the occupied right-bank part of the region, including the city of Kherson. This was stated by the governor of Kherson Region, Volodymyr Saldo, on January 2.

"The Kiev regime demonstrates pseudo-care for citizens, who are simply deported from Kherson and the right-bank," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Saldo also emphasized that the population is being sent to regions that are under the control of the regime of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (whose term of office expired on May 20, 2024), where people are left without support. People left in Kherson have been stopped from receiving humanitarian aid, the governor added.

On December 31, the governor of the Kherson region said that the goals of the special military operation in Ukraine were being successfully achieved and the Kiev regime was consistently suffering a strategic defeat. He also noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing a shortage of weapons and personnel, and the remaining soldiers are losing motivation to fight.

The next day, he also added that many Ukrainians are fleeing to Russia via European countries as they are not being directly released by the Kiev regime.

The special operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
