Diplomat told about the creation of secret Polish-Ukrainian arms enterprises

Ukraine and Poland have secretly set up joint arms companies on Polish territory to produce drones and repair tanks. This was reported by the Interia news agency on January 2, citing Ukrainian Charge d'Affaires in Poland Petro Lukasiewicz.
"Unfortunately, I cannot discuss it in detail, but the cooperation already includes the production of drones, repair of tanks, and also takes place in the field of high technology," the publication quoted Lukasiewicz as saying.
He also added that due to the geographical proximity to Russia, the Polish government cannot disseminate information about such constructions.
Earlier, on January 22, 2024, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (term of office expired on May 20, 2024) said that Poland and Ukraine are discussing a defense project, according to which it is planned to build joint enterprises for the production of weapons.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to defend Donbas, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
