U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has planned a rally in Washington on the eve of his inauguration on January 20. As CBS News reported on January 1, the politician's meeting with supporters is scheduled to take place at the sports arena, which can hold approximately 20,000 people.

"Trump will hold a rally-type event on Jan. 19 at Capital One Arena in Washington. <...> Capital One Arena, the home arena of the Washington Wizards basketball team and the Washington Capitals hockey team, can hold about 20,000 people," the media outlet noted, citing its sources.

The meeting will be called "Victory Rally Make America Great Again", the beginning is scheduled for 15:00 local time (23:00 Moscow time).

Earlier, on December 28, 2024, Vasily Kashin, a candidate of political sciences, director of the Center for Complex European and International Studies (CCEMI) of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, said that Trump, elected again as US President, is beneficial to Russia for the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. He pointed out that Trump is not responsible for Washington's past policy in this direction.

On November 5, the election of the 47th American leader was held, which was won by Trump, receiving 51% of the vote. The next day, the politician said that he considers his goal as head of state to be the cessation of military conflicts in the world. In addition, the Republican promised to "work very hard" to complete the Ukrainian conflict. He noted that any crises must end.
