Agnes Keleti, the oldest Olympic winner and five-time champion in artistic gymnastics, died in Hungary at the age of 103. This was reported on January 2 by the publication Nemzeti Sport.

It is noted that the former gymnast was hospitalized with pulmonary pneumonia and later died in a hospital in Budapest.

"Agnesh Keleti, five-time Olympic champion in gymnastics, the world's oldest Olympic champion, died on Thursday morning at the age of 103," - noted in the message.

It is specified that Keleti was supposed to have a birthday on January 9.

Agnesh Keleti was born in 1921 in Budapest. She won her first Hungarian championship in 1940. In Hungary, Keleti survived the Holocaust and disadvantages in her athletic career because of her Jewish background.

The gymnast returned to the sport in 1952, where she won her first gold medal at the Olympic Games. And then at the Olympics in 1956 she won four more medals. In total, the athlete won 10 Olympic medals during her career. On September 8, 2023, she became the oldest Olympic champion.
