Sobyanin told about additions to the Moscow Zoo

More than 1.5 thousand cubs of different animals appeared in the Moscow Zoo in 2024. In total, it is now home to more than 10 thousand inhabitants, said the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin in his personal blog.
According to the head of the city, comfortable conditions have been created for each animal, as close as possible to the natural environment.
"Even rare and vulnerable species feel so at ease here that they acquire healthy and active offspring. The growing panda Katyusha is a perfect example of this," he wrote.
Cubs were born to capybaras, Japanese cranes, bush dogs, blue rams, brown hyenas and other animals and birds.
Another 300 animals moved to the Moscow Zoo from 20 regions of Russia and a dozen other countries. Among them are Malayan bear cubs, bison and a giant anteater.
