Economist named deposits and government bonds the most profitable investment in 2025

Bank deposits and government bonds will remain the most profitable options for investing money and making profits in 2025. Konstantin Ordov, director of the Higher School of Finance at Plekhanov Russian Economic University, said on January 2.

According to his forecast, the next year may be remembered for both the easing of monetary policy and a rather long period of its rigidity.

"The first half of 2025 will remain under the star of deposits with a high probability exactly because we have not seen such interest rates in banks with the greatest reliability for a long time. We are also talking about government bonds, this also currently provides an enviable yield with the lowest of all possible risks," the expert said in a conversation with Lenta.ru.

Ordov added that gold also remains a reliable investment option, but in this case, do not expect a quick profit, added "Gazeta.Ru". In addition, a less profitable way to invest will be shares and real estate.
