Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova has helped 12-year-old Kristina Koval from Ostrogozhsk, Voronezh Region, who really wanted to have a violin, to fulfill her dream as part of the New Year's Wish Tree campaign. This was told in the press service of the Russian government on January 2.
The politician met with Christina and her mother, Natalia Ivanovna, via video link. The girl said that she studies in the sixth grade of school No. 1 in Ostrogozhsk, she also goes to art school and likes to draw landscapes. However, to her skills she wants to add one more thing - to learn to play the violin.
"Participating in the action "Christmas Tree of Wishes", Christina asked for a violin, because she saw a girl on vacation on the embankment who played this musical instrument and she had a desire to learn herself. Deputy Prime Minister gave her this musical instrument, congratulating the girl and her family on the holidays," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the government.
The violin and New Year's gifts from Golikova to the girl was handed over by the head of the Ostrogozhsky district Sergei Khoroshilov.
Earlier on January 2, the press service of the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that on the eve of the New Year the command and servicemen of the Strategic Missile Forces took part in the action "Christmas Tree of Wishes" and fulfilled the wishes of more than 800 children across Russia. Colonel General Sergei Karakaev, Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, also presented gifts.
