A missing pensioner was found dead in Yakutia


The body of a pensioner who disappeared on December 30 was found in the Yakutsk village of Tyubya. This was reported by the regional rescue service on January 2.
The man born in 1949 lived alone and suffered from dementia. In the morning of December 30, a neighbor did not find him at home, a search was organized, which involved three rescuers, five villagers and a police officer.
"Today, January 2, at 11:36 (03:36 Moscow time - Ed.) the body of the missing man was found on the bank of the Lena River, 1.5 km from the house where he lived," reads the message published in the Telegram-channel of the service.
Earlier, on December 25 last year, in Khabarovsk rescuers found a lost local resident in the area of the Amur River embankment. The 41-year-old Khabarovichan went for a walk in the morning, and then called and said that he was lost. Independent searches for relatives were unsuccessful.
