Airports in Kazan, Saratov, Penza, Saransk and Ulyanovsk resumed operations


Temporary flight restrictions at the airports of Kazan, Saratov, Saransk, Ulyanovsk and Penza have been lifted. This was announced by Rosaviatsia spokesman Artem Korenyako on January 2.
"At the airports of Saratov, Penza and Saransk, restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft were lifted at 02:00 (Moscow time), at Ulyanovsk airport - at 03:30 (Moscow time)," Korenyako said in a message in his Telegram channel.
He also said that restrictions on civil aircraft flights were lifted at Kazan airport at 5:00 (Moscow time).
Korenyako specified that these restrictions were introduced in order to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights.
Earlier in the day, a spokesman for Rosaviatsia reported that restrictions to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights were temporarily introduced at the airports of Kaluga, Penza, Saratov and Saransk. According to him, airplane crews, air traffic controllers and airport services are taking all necessary measures on a priority basis.
At the same time, Korenyako said that flight restrictions for civilian airplanes were introduced at Kazan airport. According to him, no flights are temporarily accepted or departed there.
Later it was reported that temporary restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft were lifted at the airport in Kaluga.
