The earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 was recorded near the village of Cobb, California, USA. This was reported by the United States Geological Survey(USGS).

Seismic activity occurred in 3.6 km to the south-east of the settlement. The origin of the earthquake was located at a depth of 1.1 km.

Earlier, on December 30, it was reported that the earthquake with magnitude 5.6 occurred on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. Seismic activity was recorded 39 km northeast of the city of Laoag. The origin was at a depth of 34 km.
